About this dispensary

High Hopes carries its origin story in its name and airplane logo. The Milford Daily News reported that founder Russell Bogartz linked high to cannabis slang and an airport, while hope nods to Hopedale. He also connected the name to rebuilding after a layoff and optimism about the future. The logo, then, compresses the company’s name, place and start into one mark.

What stands out

In December 2020, Alison Bosma of The Milford Daily News described a project with hometown stakes: High Hopes had four executives, three of them Hopedale residents, and Bogartz said they wanted a shop started by local residents for the town. The road to a location also ran through zoning. Bosma reported that Bogartz had backed a spring 2020 Town Meeting measure allowing cannabis shops in commercial zones by special permit; previously, they were limited to industrial zones. The original plan emphasized a place where customers could ask questions. The retailer’s website reflects that approach by describing product education intended to help customers make their own selections.
