High Hopes – Hopedale

In December 2020, Alison Bosma of The Milford Daily News described a project with hometown stakes: High Hopes had four executives, three of them Hopedale residents, and Bogartz said they wanted a shop started by local residents for the town. The road to a location also ran through zoning. Bosma reported that Bogartz had backed a spring 2020 Town Meeting measure allowing cannabis shops in commercial zones by special permit; previously, they were limited to industrial zones. The original plan emphasized a place where customers could ask questions. The retailer’s website reflects that approach by describing product education intended to help customers make their own selections.
