Eastern Cannabis Co – Malden

Patch’s January 2023 report preserved an earlier point in Malden’s licensing story. While covering another retailer’s ribbon cutting, the publication noted that Standard Naturals was among businesses navigating the process for Malden locations. It reported that Malden Business Commissioner and Cannabis Licensing and Enforcement Commission Chair Nelson Miller had described prospective dispensary Standard Naturals in a meeting as “very, very close to being done” with the necessary license and approval steps. Separate records identify Standard Naturals, LLC as Eastern Cannabis Co – Malden’s legal name, and Google lists Eastern Cannabis Company as operational. The Patch article does not establish this store’s opening date; it documents the project while approvals were still being pursued.
