Sublime’s own account ties its development to Massachusetts’ legalization of adult recreational cannabis. Evan, it says, encountered a generational knowledge gap while working in the field, which pushed education and service to the center of the concept. The local connection is unusually concrete. CapeNews reported in December 2023 that Evan R. Lehrer, president of applicant CatDogg LLC, was also Mashpee’s town planner and community development director. The outlet also reported that the project’s agreement required good-faith efforts to prioritize local businesses, suppliers, and contractors, hire Mashpee residents, and make at least half of non-management employees town residents. Those were pre-launch agreement terms, not proof of current staffing or purchasing patterns.

Bring a valid government-issued ID: the retailer says entry is limited to people 21 and older. Its Google listing reports wheelchair-accessible parking, entrance, and seating, and says debit cards are accepted. The retailer also instructs customers not to open products until they have left the property.
