Wicked Local’s account ties the store to Salem through Tuttle, whom it described as a fourth-generation Salemite. Chris Silva, general manager and owner of Front Street Coffeehouse, said he joined the venture to help with vendor relations, management, hiring, and building a team. The buildout was less direct. The publication reported that construction began in February 2020 after a provisional CCC license, stopped because the business was not considered essential during the pandemic, resumed in July, and culminated in the store opening its green doors on December 15, 2020. The Salem News had reported the provisional-license award that January and the preparations that followed. The finished storefront emerged from a year shaped by local relationships and a months-long construction interruption.
