The Berkshire Eagle reported that 325 Stockbridge Road had previously been approved for Valkyrie Cannabis Inc. and renovated before Valkyrie left; the paper said the reason for that departure was unclear. Peak’s wider production plans had also met local friction. According to the same report, Sama Productions LLC had earlier tried to establish its facility in Housatonic, where residents protested over potential odors, and faced a similar dispute at its first proposed Sandisfield site. That history does not describe the current shopping experience, but it places Peak within a longer local siting story.
