About this dispensary

A partnership between Dracut businessmen Bill Kaltsas and Peter Niarhos set this store in motion. The Lowell Sun reported in August 2022 that the pair had formed BKPN nearly five years earlier to pursue a cannabis license, then partnered with Nova Farms earlier in 2022. The collaboration culminated in the store opening its doors with a daylong celebration on July 16, 2022.

What stands out

The local connection predates the storefront. According to the Lowell Sun, Kaltsas owned Dracut Auto Butler and Niarhos was a longtime dentist in town when they formed BKPN. A March 2022 Cannabis Control Commission record says BKPN’s provisional licensure had been approved on July 9, 2020, and that applicable license fees had been paid. The paper described the resulting division of work plainly: Nova Farms handled day-to-day operations, while the two Dracut partners had done much of the work required to bring the venture to that point. Together, those details make the name over the door only part of the story: the project began with Kaltsas and Niarhos, while Nova Farms supplied the operating role.
