Silver Therapeutics – Williamstown

The Williams Record reported that the Colonial Plaza shop was Silver Therapeutics’ first planned storefront. At the time of the article, the company had completed municipal permitting and was finishing construction while pursuing a Cannabis Control Commission adult-use license. Silver’s explanation was unusually tied to the town: he pictured customers “involved with the arts scene, interested in the outdoors,” and connected that audience with the Clark Art Institute and MASS MoCA. He also acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding a new industry where state and federal rules overlapped, including questions involving banking, insurance and the College. His stated aim was to respect the College’s decisions and be a good neighbor. The retailer later reported opening the Williamstown store in April 2019.
